This machine is used on an especially designed cart for sewing in the field. On athletic fields where artificial turf is being laid, this machine sews the pieces of artificial turf together to form a continuous field. This machine uses a single needle and looper to sew an overedge seam. The seam lies flat when the artificial turf is stretched. By sewing the turf together it also insures that the turf will not separate during use of the field.
